Golf coaching at the range
Winter 2026 · Limited coaching places

Six-month in-person coaching with James Willis at Calderfields Golf Range, Aldridge.

Next season starts now.

Use this winter to fix the problems costing you shots, build a swing you trust and develop greater consistency, so you can start next season confident of playing your best, instead of trying to get back to where you were.

Enrolment closes 30 November 2026. Your six months begin when you join.

Confidence built through preparation

Build a game you can trust when it counts.

Imagine starting next season with confidence in your swing and trust in your skills—ready to play the shots you want, when you need them.

That’s what we’ll work towards this winter.

We’ll develop your technique, build your skills and practise applying them to different shots, situations and pressures. You’ll learn to choose the shot, commit to it and execute it on the course.

Jack · In-person coaching

12 to 4 in one season. Junior club champion and county team player.

You’re putting the practice in. But the same bad shots keep coming back.

I know how frustrating it is to work hard, feel confused and struggle to trust your swing when it matters.

Together, we’ll identify what’s holding you back, prioritise what will make the biggest difference and give your practice a clear plan—with feedback to keep you on track.

Your coaching process

A clear process, built around your game.

  1. Assess

Understand your goals, your game and the shots you struggle with. Establish where you are now and where you want to get to.

  2. Diagnose

Find what’s causing those problems and identify what’s holding your progress back.

  3. Adjust

Choose one or two priorities. Understand what we’re changing, why it matters and how to check it.

  4. Train

Build those changes through purposeful practice, games and challenges, with regular feedback to keep you on track.

  5. Perform

Learn to transfer your new technique and skills to the course, so you can play with greater confidence, a clearer understanding of your game and more consistency when it counts.

We’ll review your progress throughout the programme and revisit these steps as your game develops.

From practice to performance

The shot matters most when you only have one attempt.

We’ll build your technique and skills, then practise applying them to different targets, clubs, lies and decisions. Games and challenges help you prepare to choose a shot, commit and execute when the result matters.

Build it

Learn the movement or shot in a task you can manage.

Adapt it

Change the target, club, distance or lie as the skill develops.

Use it

Practise shot selection, commitment and routines, then review what holds up on the course.

Jack’s season · In-person coaching

What happens when hard work has a clear direction.

12 → 4

An eight-shot handicap reduction in one season.

  • Won the junior club championship
  • Started playing for the county team
  • Won his men’s club foursomes

Consistent practice. A plan he followed. Coaching every two weeks.

Jack played and practised consistently, worked to his plan and stayed on top of his technique and skills. His effort had a clear direction—and that helped him put together a standout season.

With a lesson every two weeks, we could keep developing his game and checking his progress. If he got off track, we caught it quickly and helped him regain direction, rather than leaving him to spend months guessing or practising the wrong thing.

He started the season at 12 and finished at 4, with competition wins and county-team golf along the way. He is now working towards scratch next season.

The hard work was Jack’s. A clear plan and regular feedback helped him put that work into the areas that mattered—and take his progress onto the course.

Your coaching, connected between lessons

Leave with a plan. Know what comes next.

We use your private sessions to assess, explain and work on your priorities together. You take a personal plan into practice, then use your online video reviews and messaging support to check progress and resolve questions between lessons.

An example of purposeful practice

One priority. A task. A way to check it.

  1. 01

    Your priority

For example: build more reliable iron contact.

  2. 02

    Your task

Hit 10 shots using the drill chosen in your coaching. Record a short video and note the contact.

  3. 03

    Your check

Compare the movement and strike with the target we agreed. Repeat or progress the task as directed.

  4. 04

    Your takeaway

Record what improved, the feeling to remember and what to work on next time.

This is an illustrative practice structure. Your tasks, targets and progression are personalised.

Keep the work together in Performance Hub.

  • Your plan and feedback

Return to your coaching priorities, practice tasks and saved reviews.

  • Your progress

Log rounds, record practice and look for patterns in your performance.

  • Your learning

Use courses, resources and training games to understand and develop your skills.

  • Your questions

Use messaging when you need clarification rather than guessing at the next step.

Essential includes 1 online review per month, Performance 2 and Elite 4. All options include Hub access, your personal plan and messaging support.

A note from James: why I coach this way

I know what it feels like to work hard and remain stuck. I hit as many as 600 balls a day, became more confused and came close to quitting. Better coaching helped me find a way forwards.

That experience shaped how I coach. I want you to understand your own game, have manageable priorities and receive feedback that helps you make your practice count.

Is this right for you?

Serious about improving. Whatever your handicap.

You do not need a perfect swing or hours of free time every day. This is for golfers who care about their game and want to give their practice a clear direction.

  • You can make time for regular, focused practice.
  • You are willing to share feedback and ask when something is unclear.
  • You want to understand your game and work through a plan over six months.

We’ll work together on the technique, skills and decisions that can move your golf forwards.
